Covid rules

Even though rules have been relaxed we would still like to do our bit to try and keep this virus at bay, we would still like to ask that you keep to social distancing and that you keep using the hand sanitiser at the entrance to the cafe arenas and the toilets. That you still use a face mask indoors when busy.


Shows & Arena hire

September 2021

Vaccinations – All horses/ponies/travel companions must be up to date vaccinations against Equine Influenza. For arena hire and unaffiliated shows, annual boosters within 12 months but not less than 7 days before visiting us on site. Please refer to relevant rule books for all affiliated competitions that are held on site.

No Dogs are allowed at the venue on show days, clear rounds or hire days.

By making an entry or payment to any of our shows/hires, you are agreeing to our T&Cs.

With your booking you acknowledge that you are taking part in a risk sport and that you are a competent rider at the level you are entering or schooling at.

The show organisers have the right to cancel any, part of, or an entire show. Show organisers reserve the right to refuse entries without assigning a reason.

MFCC, nor their officials, show organisers and agents cannot be held responsible for any accidents, theft, loss or damage, how so ever caused, arising out of or at the show.

Correct and safe dress must be worn at all times. Protective headgear must be worn at all times when mounted on any part of the showground. It is the duty of riders and in the interest of safety, to ensure that their headgear provides proper protection is correctly fitted and remains in place.

All owners and riders (where applicable, parents or guardians) of horses/ponies competing in any event shall be subject to the Rules & Regulations of British Showjumping/British Dressage.

No unauthorised persons shall enter the competition or collecting rings.

In the event of entries that have been transferred, must be reused within 3 months of the original show date. Any credit or entries not used will be forfeited after this time.

Please note that if shows are busy, we may restrict entries and close classes before the closing date. To guarantee an entry please pre-enter in plenty of time.  Due to COVID-19 we can only accept pre-entries and all entries must be paid in full.

All unaccompanied competitors must provide the Show Organiser with a contact telephone number in case of an emergency.

Prize money in accordance with British Showjumping Rule 76.6 Prize money will be refunded electronically please make sure you have filled out the prize money slip with bank account details. Please allow  5-7days. Note – please make sure all contact details are correct as we may need to contact you for additional information to process your prize money.

cash prize money will be paid only on our unaffiliated showjumping days.

Refund of entry fees as stated in the relevant Societies Rule book (British Showjumping Rule 81.5). The rules for unaffiliated show entries – no refunds after the closing date, we will transfer entries only if we can fill your entry slots.

Medical cover in accordance with British Showjumping rule 73.8e.

Rules on stallions as per as per BS (Rule 102.13) and BD (Rule 87) found in each discipline’s respective Member’s Handbook. Stallions must wear a stallion ribbon and 2 bridle disks and when unmounted must be led by a 2m chain lead rein.

Unaffiliated competitions will be run in accordance with the Rule Book of the relevant discipline and any amendments noted on individual schedules.

Each competitor, owner or where applicable, parent or guardian, shall be solely responsible for consequences of loss or damage done to, occasioned by, or arising from any animal in their care and indemnity the Show organisers & Moores Farm Competition Centre, their officials, agents & invites against all liabilities, damages, actions, claims, proceedings, costs and/or expense in relation to or arising from his/her presence at the show.

Any person or animal acting in a dangerous manner may be asked to leave the premises. Excessive use of whips or spurs, foul language, cruelty or abuse will not be tolerated and will result in the offender being eliminated and asked to leave the premises.

Horses should not be left unattended or tied to the outside of lorries/trailers.

horse poo/haynets are not to be emptied out onto the car park.

The judges’ decision is final.  All objections must be lodged in writing with the Show Secretary within 30 minutes of the completion of judging of the competition involved.  A deposit of £20.00 must accompany the objection, which will be returned if the Jury of Appeal upholds the objection.

We ask that when you enter the centre that you keep the main entrance gate closed at all times. 

Arena Hire

All arena hire bookings are pre book and pre paid . Payment must be received in advance of the hire. No refunds or transfers will be given for arena hire with less than 48 hours notice

Hire times must be adhered to, if this time period is not respected an additional charge will incur for the additional time overrun. Only access the arena you have hired and refrain from using any other arena, unless otherwise stated.

If the main gates are closed on arrival please call 07939035724  for access.

All droppings must be cleared from the arena and standing areas before departure. Please note CCTV is in operation.

All breakages are to be reported and paid for before leaving the facilities. Failure to do so will result in an additional charge of £10 per unreported item. Prices are current solway showjumps or JP Equestrian.

Information MFCC collect

 will process data collected for the purpose of facilitating your registration on the basis of legitimate interests to deliver the service for which you have registered, included in this it will also allow us to keep you informed of offers, important updates and changes to timetables.

MFCC collect the following personal and non-personal information to deliver, measure and improve our business:
Personal information: When you make a booking with MFCC,  you may be asked for some personal information to provide you with the desired service.
Non-personal information: MFCC log information about your use of MFCC services and facilities
We do not buy in data from any third parties.

Sources of our data
WE collect data from the following sources:
Data is either stored on a secure server or PC. Any paperwork generated or collected is stored in a secure, locked office. All financial paperwork is stored for 7 years where after it securely shredded.

Protection of your personal information
MFCC  takes reasonable measures to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, theft, disclosure, alteration and destruction. However, no method of transmitting or storing data is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of the information you provide to us. We restrict access to personal information to only those employees (or self-employed contractors) who need to know that information in order to deploy and maintain our records. These individuals are bound by confidentiality agreements and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations. Certain contracted and authorised contractors do have access to our networks for the purpose of maintenance. All access is monitored and logged. All personal information is stored securely. All networks, computers and servers are password and firewall protected. Paperwork is only stored in secure offices. Please note that some parts of our  online presence allow you to post personal information that may be publicly accessible, viewable and collectable by anyone, so please take care when using these features.

policy towards children
We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under the age of sixteen. We do, however, allow users under the age of sixteen to use certain features or areas that do not involve the collection of personal information, aside from certain computer or mobile device information that may be collected as necessary to the operation of the website. All users are required to provide details on booking, and under 16’s are required to supply guardians details, MFCC cannot be held responsible if they provide their own. If you become aware that your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us and we will take the steps needed to eliminate such information.
